One of the most unsettling side effects is the decline of attention span. Whether it's school, work, or even play, people are struggling to focus. Long content, such as training videos, movies, or interactive games, now appears daunting or boring in contrast. We are growing impatient, and we're constantly seeking that next hit of dopamine from a 15-second video.
This round-the-clock consumption of short content has also resulted in a palpable drop in productivity and motivation. Individuals are getting lazier, and instead of meaningful activities, they prefer mindless scrolling. Creativity is also suffering instead of developing, many are consuming passively, which results in a generation less likely to think critically or innovate.
Even the youngest children, who are exposed to mobile phones since childhood, are not exempted. Instead of viewing interesting cartoons or playing outdoors, they are drawn to high-speed, action-packed videos. This shift not only prevents their school focus but also diverts wholesome development and creativity.
In general, short media is enjoyable, but overindulgence is proving to be dangerous. It's altering the way we think, learn, and produce things too often not in a good way. Moderation and judicious use are needed to prevent complete loss of focus, profundity, and creativity in the future generation.
Great choice of words,spot on!!
